Gisela Ahern, 100, of Shubert, NE, passed away January 3, 2021 at Falls City, NE. She was born August 15, 1920 at Wiesbaden-Dotzheim, Germany to Jean and Wilhelmina Diehl.

She married Edward J. Ahern, Jr. on July 23, 1945 at Wiesbaden, Germany.

Gisela was raised in Germany and moved to the United States following their marriage. In addition to farming, she owned and operated Ahern Photo, Ahern Liquor Store in Shubert and Northview Café in Falls City.

Gisela is survived by her son, Edward and his wife Diane of Omaha, grandsons, Sean Ahern, Ryan Ahern, Kevin (Lynn) Ahern, Justin (Tricia) Ahern and great-grandsons, James and Nolan. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The body of Mrs. Ahern has been cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
