Olive Agnes McKinney, 86, of Lawrence, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at her home with family by her side. She was born July 14, 1935 in Socrum, FL, the daughter of David and Easter Agnes (Meeks) Viers.

Olive was a child care provider and homemaker.

 She married James Noonen (Na nim nuk shkuk) McKinney, Jr. on July 27, 1954. They celebrated over 51 years of marriage before his passing on October 24, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dr. Smokey (Na nim nuk shkuk) McKinney on October 12, 2021.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Esther “Darlene” Young (Rodger) of Edgewater, MD, Karen Lynn Kennedy (Clyde) of Santa Fe, TN, Leah Ruth McKinney of Columbia, MO and Rebekah Leigh Lierman (Richard) of Osage Beach, MO; a sister, Wanda Snyder of San Antonio, FL; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

 Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Prairie Peoples Cemetery.
