Gerald Russell Ireland, Jr., 59, of McLouth, KS, died Monday, January 3, 2022 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. 

He was born January 21, 1962 at Horton, KS, the son of Gerald Russell, Sr. and Norma Kay (Reeves) Ireland.  He was a 1980 graduate of McLouth High School and attended Lineman training at Manhattan area technical school.  He served 35 years as a lineman for Free State Electric Cooperative, formerly Leavenworth/Jefferson Electrical Coop in McLouth , retiring with a disability in 2020. He was also farmer and stockman in the McLouth area for many years. He enjoyed raising horses, horseback riding and fishing.

 Survivors include, his mother, Norma Kay Ireland, McLouth, one daughter, Olivia (Nick) Kerns, Oskaloosa, two sons, Colin Ireland, Leavenworth, Tucker Ireland, McLouth, one brother, Virgil Ireland, Napoleon, MO, one granddaughter and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald R. Ireland, Sr, on August 29, 2021.
