Mary “Frances” Rubinich
Weston, MO

Mary “Frances” Rubinich, 87, of Weston, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Hillview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Platte City, MO.  A gathering of friends and family will take place at the family’s home in Weston, at 6:00 p.m., Saturday evening, October 13, 2012.

The family suggests contributions be given to Hands of Hope Hospice—137 N. Belt Hwy.—St. Joseph, MO  64506.   Frances was born March 31, 1925 in Washington, D.C. to George and Elizabeth (Bauserman) Tompkins.  She spent most of her life in the Indian Head, Maryland area, moving to Weston to be with her daughter, about 1 ½ years ago.  Frances was best known for her life’s passion, as owner/operator of ”Hells-A-Blazen Poodles” kennel, where she was breeder of world renowned poodles. 

Frances was preceded in death by:  her parents; a son Barry Quiaoit; a brother George Tompkins; and a sister Virginia Plummer.  She is survived by:  her son Judson Quiaoit of Vassalborro, ME; her daughter Gina (Clifford) Wieser; her sister and nephew Geraldine and Sean Halpin of Indian Head, MD; 3 grandchildren Nathaniel Magoon of Weston, Daniel Wieser of Weston, and Tompkins Quiaoit of Nashville, TN.  Arrangements By:  Vaughn Funeral Home—Weston, MO—Ph. 816-386-2281—
