1: Spring Road Rally - Elk Creek
The Elk Creek's Men's Club will hold their 31st annual Spring Road Rally. Rain or shine. There will be prizes. Drivers's Meeting 1 PM on Main Street Elk Creek. BBQ following road rally (included in the entry fee) Proceeds toward scholalrship program. Pasture Gold Sunday, April 15th.
2: VFW Ladies Aux. Easter Party
The VFW Ladies Auxiliary Easter Party will take place this afternoon from 2 to 3:30 at post 1175, 2201 Main St. All children ages 0-12 are invited to play games and receive a treat. The event was originally scheduled for March 25th but was moved due to a scheduling conflict.
3: Easter Cantata - Everest
Zion Lutheran Church, north of Everest on Prairie Road, will host the Annual Easter Cantata on Sunday morning, April 1st. Choir members, Director Carol Bunning of Horton, and three accompanists, Janet Olson, Beth Thurn and Sue Beyer will present the beautiful music and words of the Easter story, The Day He Wore My Crown. Pastor Annette Minderman and members of Upper Wolf & Zion Lutheran churches invite the public to a social time at 9:45 AM before the Cantata begins at 10:30 AM.
4: BC and Saint Mary Choir Performance
The combined choirs of Benedictine College and the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth will present a concert of French Choral Masterworks today at 3 p.m. at St. Benedict's Abbey Church. Both programs are free to the public.
5: Palm Sunday Concert
Community Palm Sunday Choral concerts. Program to include selections from Handel's "Messiah" as well as contemporary arrangements of a cappella spirituals. Performance times are 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Humboldt United Methodist Church. Refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall following each performance.
6: Highland CC All-Star Games
Annuall Highland Community College All-Star volleyball, girls basketball and boys basketball games. Volleyball game is first at 2pm, followed by the girls basketball at 4pm and boys basketball at 6pm.
