2: Lancaster vacation bible school
The Lancaster Community vacation bible school will be held on Monday, June 11th thru Friday, June 15th from 1:00 to 3:30PM at Saint John’s Lutheran and United Methodist churches in Lancaster. The bible school is for children ages 3 thru 8th grade. For more info call 874-4061.
3: Horton cooking classes
The Glacial Hills Food Center in Horton will hold preservation processes classes on Thursday, June 14th and Monday, June 25th Both classes begin at 6:30PM with Diane Nielson KSU Extension agent presenting. Make your reservations now by calling 945-6875.
4: Bern Library summer program
The Bern Community Library will hold summer reading programs on Thursday, June 14th at 2:00PM a program on nocturnal animals will be presented by the Topeka Zoo. And, on Thursday, June 21st they will have a hands on project with the children making their own dreamcatchers.
5: Axtell Blood Drive
The Red Cross will hold a blood drive at the Axtell community building on Thursday, June 14th from 12:00 to 6:00PM Call 736-2978 for an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome and needed. Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. You can help by donating blood at your local Red Cross.
6: Hiawatha Library
Storytime on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. at the Morrill Public Library in Hiawatha. Stories, crafts, and more for kids age 3 and up. Parents and caregivers welcome.
