3: Brown County Genealogical Society Event
Its amazing in a way that now in the 21st century the modern traveler to the American West can still see reminders of America's westward expansion that occurred more than 150 years ago. These swales, or wagon wheel ruts in the prairie are not only visible but in excellent shape. Join us at 7:00 on thursday evening, May 17th at the Brown County Genealogical Society, 116 South Seventh in Hiawatha when B.C.G.S. member Anne Cash delivers her presentation on these wagon trail swales and how you can find them. The B.C.G.S. is located across the street and west of the Brown County Court House square.
