1: The Cook Site Elementary Track and Field
The Cook Site Elementary Track and Field Day will be held Friday, May 18th for grades 4-6 starting at 12:30 PM. Parents are invited to come watch the fun and games.

4: Book Sale in Sabetha
Sabetha Elementary School will be hosting a 1/2 price book sale this Friday, 2:00-7:00p.m. and Saturday 8:00-11:00a.m. in the SES gym, May 18th and 19th. Pre-school through middle school titles will be available. There will also be pencils, pens, erasers... This is a great time to pick up gifts!
5: Horton Senior Citizens Dance
HORTON SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER IS HOSTING A DANCE FRIDAY, MAY 18TH AT 7 PM. MUSIC BY PROHASKA. PLEASE BRING SNACKS OR APPETIZERS. ALL SENIORS WELCOME!

7: Zion Lutheran Church cookbook
The Zion Lutheran Church of Everest has produced a new 2012 edition cookbook called “Zion Eats and Sweets”. It is now available at “Hairport” in downtown Horton and also the Union State Bank in Horton and in Everest. Get your copy of this cookbook full of great recipes today.
8: Seneca NCTC can recycling
The Nemaha County Training Center in Seneca is open for can recycling. Their hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00AM till 3:00PM and on the 2nd Saturday of the month they are open from 9:00AM until 12:00PM. For more information call the Seneca office at 336-6166.
9: Holton Alumni Banquet Tickets
The Holton High School Alumni Banquet will be on Saturday, May 26, at 6pm at the Holton High School Gymnasium. Tickets are $18 per person. Tickets will be sold this week only during banking business hours at these banks at their main branches in Holton: Denison State Bank, Farmers State Bank, and Holton National Bank. Tickets are not available after the end of working hours on May 18. We are looking forward to seeing all of you alums and a good time and good eats will be held by all
