1: St Joseph boy scout shoot
The Pony Express Council, Boy Scouts of America will host a team shotgun shoot on Saturday, May 19th to raise money for the Patrick L. Newman Scholarship. The shoot will be at the Camp Geiger’s shooting range in Saint Joseph. For more information call Matt at 273-2156.
2: Seneca Legion chicken fry
The Seneca American Legion will hold a chicken fry on Saturday, May 19th from 5:00 till 7:00PM at the Legion Hall located on Main Street in Seneca. They will serve all the fried chicken you can eat for $8.00. Delivery is available, call 336-2987, that’s 336-2987.
3: Falls City Golf Event
Armed Forces Day Benefit Golf Event at Falls City Country Club 9:30 AM Shotgun Start. Format is 3-man modified stapleford best ball 9 hole event (2 of 3 scores count in total) Entry fee is $75 per team. Contact Terry Flynn at 402-801-0905 to sign up. All proceeds go to Wounded Warrior Project and a Veterans Voice Foundation to assist disabled veterans recover and rehabilitate back into civillian life after military service.
4: Jackson Heights Tractor Drive
Jackson Heights FFA Alumni Tractor Drive at Jackson Heights High School Saturday May 19th. Registration from 11 – noon. Lunch provided by for partipants, Drive starts at 1 pm. Everyone welcome to come for lunch for $5 per plate. This year’s drive is in memory of Derrek Klahr and Morris Douglas.
6: Cars & Coffee in Hiawatha
Cars & Coffee at the Fisher Center in Hiawatha May 19th and 26th beginning at 7:30 am. Bring your favorite vehicle and hang out with other motor sport enthusiasts. Call Steve at 702-683-5784 for more information.
7: Horton Old-Time Cruise Night
Bring your hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars and bikes to the OK Corral and enjoy an evening of music and family fun the 3rd Saturday of the month May through September from 4 to 8 pm.
8: Hiawatha Biology Club
recycling from 9 - 11 am in the high school parking lot. The community is encouraged to bring they recyclable materials.
