1: Everest Library Reading room
The Barnes Reading Room in the Everest Public Library will be open for summer hours on Monday’s from 12:00 noon till 6:00PM. On Tuesday’s through Friday’s the reading room will be open from 9:00AM till noon. The reading room is closed on the weekend. For more information call 548-7733.
2: Falls City Jaycees Tractor Pull
FC Jaycees Tractor Pull – June 22th starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Falls City Jaycees Community Field, South Highway 73. Featuring the Nebraska Bush Pullers.
3: Seneca Main Street Opening events
Celebrate the grand opening of Seneca’s Main Street and the Pony Express Re-ride! On Friday, June 22 beginning at 6:00pm. The Ribbon Cutting at 6th and Main with a parade will be at 6:00PM. There will be street games, Sasaparilla floats, and between 11:00pm to 12:00am the Pony Express Re-riders come through Seneca.

5: Fairview free "Courageous" movie
The critically acclaimed movie “Courageous” will be shown at the Fairview Community Center in Fairview on Friday, June 22nd at 7:00PM. The movie is free and open to the public. courtesy of the Lutheran Northeast Kansas Partnership. Everyone is welcome to come and watch the movie.
6: Nemaha County School Supply donations
NEK-CAP, Nemaha County Outreach Office in Seneca at 209 North 8th Street in the lower level are now accepting donations for school supplies during the months of June and July. Many items are needed for the 2012-2013 school year. For more info call Gayle at 336-2927.
7: Brown County school supply donations
The Brown County NEK-CAP office in Hiawatha is accepting school supply donations during June and July for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year. Supplies and monetary donations are welcome. Drop off donations at the office located at 1260 220th Street in Hiawatha. Thanks for you support!

12: Atchison Child Care Lemonade Stand
3rd through 5th graders at Atchison Child Care will be having a lemonade and baked goods stand at the Child Care Center at 1326 Kansas Ave. on Friday from 11:30 to about 5:30. It is a free will donation, with the money raised going toward the purchase of a new computer for the computer lab.
