1: Leavenworth: Brass In Blue Free Concert
The United States Air Force Heartland of America Band "Brass In Blue", will be performing this evening at 7 at the Leavenworth High School Performing Arts Center at 2012 10th Ave. in Leavenworth. The concert is free and is sponsored by the Leavenworth National Cemetery Memorial Day Committee, Inc.
2: Horton Zion Lutheran Church cookbook
The Zion Lutheran Church of Everest has produced a new 2012 edition cookbook called “Zion Eats and Sweets”. It is now available at “Hairport” in downtown Horton and also the Union State Bank in Horton and in Everest. Get your copy of this cookbook full of great recipes today.
3: Auburn Golf Tournament
The 9th annual Good Samaritan Society - Auburn will hold a golf tourney. 9 am Shotgun start at Auburn Country Club Highway 75 south of auburn. Best ball four person scramble. $200 entry per team. Includes entry, lunch and cart. Please call Stacy Burgoin Burge at 402-274-5511 or Jeff Harvey at 402-274-6160 to registar your team by Thursday May 24th. Procees go to the Good Samaritan Staff Scholarship Fund.
4: Seneca Area Community Theatre auditions
The Seneca Area Community Theatre will perform “The Odd Couple” during the Nemaha County Fair weekend of July 27th to the 29th. Anyone wishing to participate can audition on Thursday, May 24th or Friday, May 25th at 7:00PM in the Nemaha Valley High School Commons.

5: Nemaha County Catbackers golf and dinner
The 18th Annual Nemaha County Catbackers golf tournament, banquet and auction will be held on Friday, June 1st. The golf tournament is a 4-person scramble to be played at the Seneca Spring Creek Public Golf Course in Seneca with check in time between 8:30 and 9:00AM. Shotgun start will begin at 9:00. The fee is $55 per person in advance and $80 per person the day of the tournament. Make reservations by Friday, May 25th by sending a check made out to the Nemaha County Catbackers to Greg Schultejans, 1045 Hwy 63, Corning KS 66417. For more information call 336-6036.
The Dinner and auction will be held at Valentino’s in Seneca with the social hour at 5:30PM and dinner at 6:30. There will be a number of campus guests and a live auction will follow the dinner. The cost is $20 per person and reservations are due by Tuesday, May 29th. For reservations send your check payable to Nemaha County Catbackers to the address above. For info call 336-1296.
