1: Atchison Wings & Wheels
Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 967 will have their annual fly-in Saturday, May 26th starting at 8AM. Flying Skill Competitions will be held, including a Spot Landing contest, Aerial Bowling, and a Ping Pong Ball Drop for the kids! Antique & Sports Car displays will also be there.

3: Powhattan Alumni dinner
The 97th Annual Powhattan High School Alumni will be held on Saturday, May 26th at the Powhattan Legion Hall. Dinner will start at 6:30PM. The cost of the meal is $12.50 per person. Please send reservations to the Powhattan Alumni Association box 81, Powhattan or call 260-1672.
4: Mound City Alumni Banquet
The 114th Mound City Alumni Banquet will take place at Mound City R-2 Gym. Registration begins at 5:30 PM with the dinner and program following at 6:30 pm. Registrations are strongly encouraged and are $16 per person in advance if made by Tuesday, May 22nd, or $20 at the door. They can also be made at the Nodaway Valley Bank in Mound City or by calling 660-442-2014
5: Annual Bern Alumni Banquet
May 26th at Bern High School
Registration- 5:15-6:15. Meal following at 6:30. Tickets are $15. Reservations can be mailed to Bern Alumni Association or dropped of at the State Bank of Bern.
6: Oregon-South Holt Alumni Banquet
The 92nd Oregon-South Holt Alumni Banquet will be held in the South Holt Gymnasium. Social hour will begin at 6 PM with the banquet to follow at 7 PM. The cost of the meal is $10 and dues are $5. 8: Weston: Mt. Bethel Cemetery
"Celebrate with the families of Mt. Bethel Cemetery, Weston, MO., today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The descendants will tell stories of their early pioneer families' past lives who rest at Mt. Bethel. Displays and exhibits will explore the church and cemetery's history in preparation for the 130th Year Anniversary in 2013. Donations are welcome for the church restoration.
9: Circleville Alumni banquet

11: Kansas High School State Track Meet
2012 High School Track & Field State Championships in Wichita at Cessana Stadium events start 8:00 am.
Live reports on 92.1 KMZA & 103.9 KNZA from Wichita starting at 10:30am until 6:30pm. One report an hour on the Kanzaland area track athletes performances.

12: Falls City 5K Run
The Falls City Volunteer Ambulance Squad will hold a 5K run for EMS week. $15 entry fee. Receive a T-Shirt with early registration by May 17th. Event takes place on Saturday, May 26th. 13: St. Benedict's Abbey Church: Recital
Three teenage musicians will be giving a recital today at 2 p.m. in the St. Benedict's Abbey Church. Pianists Ailin Yu and Meigen Yu, daughters of Dr. and Mrs. Larry Sutton, and organist/pianist Nathan Farrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Farrell, are the performers. The public is cordially invited to this free recital.
14: Holton benefit ice cream social
An Ice Cream Social will be held on Saturday, May 26th at the “Glory Days Celebration” in Holton to help raise funds for the Madison Taliaferro lung transplant fund. Homemade ice cream will be served at the Jackson County Courthouse from 10:00AM till 2:00PM. For more info call 969-1493.
15: Everest Military Honor Ceremony
The 3rd Annual Everest Military Honor Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 1:00PM beginning in the Everest Middle School Gym and then moving to the park for the flag ceremony and 21 gun salute beginning at 2:00PM. They will raise the “Stars and Stripes” on the new 35 foot flag pole.
