1: Atchison Community Blood Drive

3: Horton Library LEGO club
The Horton Library would like to start a LEGO club as part of their Summer Reading program. The Library is looking for individuals who may have LEGO sets and would consider donating them to the Library. If enough LEGO’s are collected the club will be formed. For info call 486-3326.
4: The Campbell soup Reunion
The Campbell soup Reunion for former employees and families will be held on Friday May 4, 2012 at the Baptist Center in Tecumseh Ne. Doors open at 11. covered dish luncheon at noon followed by a short business.
Please bring a covered dish and table service. Drinks provided.
5: Westar & Kansas Gas Employee Garage Sale
Westar Energy & Kansas Gas Service employee garage sale will be May 4th from 5:00-7:30PM and May 5th from 7-11AM at the parking lot at 812 Main St. in Atchison.
Proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for local schools
6: Atchison Juneteenth Fish Fry
May 4th starting at 10AM at Mall Towers Dining room, 103 South 7th.
$7 donation, includes Iced Tea or Water. All proceeds go towards the 2012 Juneteenth Celebration on June 16th & 17th.
7: Doniphan West Kindergarten roundup
The Doniphan West USD 111 will hold Kindergarten roundup for the 2012/2013 school year. The parents meeting will be at the Doniphan West Primary school cafeteria on Thursday, May 3rd. Kindergarten screening will be on Friday, May 4th. For information and appointments call 442-3671.
8: Horton Senior Citizens Fundraiser
beginning at 11 am. Serving Sloppy Hamburger sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, cupcakes and drinks for a free will donation.
9: Sabetha Tennis Camp
The Sabetha Lady Jay Tennis Camp will be held on Monday, June 11th and Tuesday, June 12th from 10:00AM till 12:00PM for girls of all ages. The camp will be held at the Sabetha City Tennis court and the cost is $25. Registrations due by May 4th For more info or to register call Alicia Deters at 284-2155.
10: Dekalb Players
"Crumpled Classics" will be performed by the Dekalb Players May 4th & 5th at 7:30pm. Performances will be at the Dekalb High School Auditorium. Tickets $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12.
11: Atchison: Benefit Garage Sale
Westar Energy & Kansas Gas Service employees will be having a garage sale today (Friday) from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and tomorrow (Saturday) from 7 to 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot at 812 Main St. in Atchison. Proceeds from the garage sale will be used to purchase school supplies for local schools. For more information contact Susan Duncan at 913-367-8021.
12: Atchison: Faith Bible Fellowship Church
Faith Bible Fellowship Church will be having a yard sale this (Friday) evening from 5 to 7 p.m. and tomorrow (Saturday) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of King and Center Streets. Proceeds will benefit the Faith Bible Fellowship Church.
