1: Quilt Show
The 17th annual Sunflower Piecemakers Quilt Guild show will be May 5th at the Lansing Activity Center, 108 S. 2nd streen in Lansing, KS. from 9AM to 4PM. Free admission
2: Lisa Jo Cancer Walk - Humboldt
5th Annual Lisa Jo (McNeally) Schaardt Cancer Walk. 9 am at the Humboldt City Square. Rain location will be at the HTRS School. Registration is $20.00 Pre-Register by April 18th. (Must pre-register by deadline to receive t-shirt or hat) All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research and Richardson County Cancer Fund. 4: DOVES 3rd annual 2k/8k walk/run

6: DuBois Alumni Banquet
The DuBois Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, May 5th at the DuBois Community Center in DuBois Nebraska. Registration will begin at 3:00PM, followed by a meeting, entertainment and the meal will begin at 6:00PM. All alumni, family and friends are welcome to attend.
8: White cloud Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser
During the White Cloud Flea Market at the “Little House on the Street” Ice cream shop located next to the White Cloud Bank will serve Cinnamon rolls, coffee, lemonade and ice cream. All proceeds will go to support Annaka’s Army Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis team.
9: Haunted House Garage Sale - Falls City
Haunted House Garage Sale - May 5th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 18th & Stone (The Old Rivoli Theatre) This sale will help to raise money for costs of running the Haunted House this October. If you have anything you would like to donate, all items are welcome except clothing. Please drop your items off Friday May 4th between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the old Rivoli Theatre.
10: Westar & Kansas Gas Employee Garage Sale
Westar Energy & Kansas Gas Service employee garage sale will be May 4th from 5:00-7:30PM and May 5th from 7-11AM at the parking lot at 812 Main St. in Atchison.
Proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for local schools
11: Thomas Memorial Youth Track Invite
7th Annual Thomas Memorial Youth Track Invite –May 5th starting at 10:00 a.m. at Falls City South & High Schools. Registration Deadline May 1st.
12: Hiawatha Hospice Volunteer training
The NEK Multi-County Home Health and Hospice is looking for caring individuals to become hospice volunteers. Volunteer training will be held on Saturday, May 5th at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church at 800 First Street in Hiawatha. For more info call Danielle at 742-1966.
13: Sacred Heart Activities Banquet
The Sacred Heart Activities Banquet honoring the High School students for their excellence in extracurricular activities will be held May, 5th at O'Connor Hall beginning at 6:30 PM. The banquet will be a potluck meal with each family asked to bring a family size meat dish and one other covered dish. Drinks and table service will be provided. The public is invited for a great evening of honoring their students.
14: Dekalb Players
"Crumpled Classics" will be performed by the Dekalb Players May 4th & 5th at 7:30pm. Performances will be at the Dekalb High School Auditorium. Tickets $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12.

16: Havensville Opry show
The Havensville Community Center will hold the “Cow Creek Opry” on Saturday, May 5th at the community center. There will be two shows. The first show starts at 2:00 and the second starts at 7:00PM. Tickets are $8 donation for adults and children under 12 are free! For info call 948-3355.
