1: Hiawatha Relay for Life
This year, nearly four million people nationwide will come together to Celebrate the fight against cancer. Relay For Life of Brown County will be held overnight Friday, June 8 at 6 p.m. til 6 a.m at the Hiawatha High School Track. For more information contact Lora Brobst at 742-2385.
2: Christian Biker Ralley In Atchison

3: Sabetha city garage sales
The Sabetha City wide garage sales will be held on Friday, June 8th and Saturday, June 9th. There are about 50 sales locations around town. Get maps at businesses on old South Highway 75. For information call 284-3520 or visit www.sabethachamber.com. Don’t miss this semi-annual event!!
4: Everest Library Reading room
The Barnes Reading Room in the Everest Public Library will be open for summer hours on Monday’s from 12:00 noon till 6:00PM. On Tuesday’s through Friday’s the reading room will be open from 9:00AM till noon. The reading room is closed on the weekend. For more information call 548-7733.
5: Dubois Nebraska Spring Bash party

6: Brown County Relay for Life
The Relay For Life Brown County will hold their annual overnight event on Friday, June 8th starting with the check in for survivors at 6:30 at the Hiawatha High School Track. The opening ceremony and survivor lap will start at 7:00PM. For more info on the event or to donate call 741-5563.
7: Hiawatha Senior Center lunch
The Senior Citizens of Hiawatha are holding a carry-in salad lunch on Friday, June 8th at the Senior Center in Hiawatha. Steve Smith and the Brown County Healthy Foods Focus will be guest speakers. For more info call 742-7685. All seniors are welcome to attend
8: Troy Pickers Paradise
The S.L.K. Pickers Paradise will be held in Troy at the corner of “Last Chance” and “Lucust” Streets on Saturday, June 8th from 8:00AM till 5:00PM and on Sunday, June 9th from 8:00 till 1:00. Proceeds go to Doniphan County Library renovations and the S.L.K. scholarship fund.
9: Lancaster: St. John's Luth. Garage Sale
The garage sale will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. and tomorrow from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church basement at 101 S. Broadway in Lancaster. Money raised will be used to purchase school supplies for distribution to Lancaster children.
