Charges Keep Piling Up on Huron Man

 A 21 year old Huron man facing felony burglary and theft charges and sentencing on another felony and 10 misdemeanors gets six new felony counts added to the tally.

 Jacob Clem made an appearance on the new charges Friday in Atchison County Court.

 According to the courts, Clem was arrested Thursday night by the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department for an alleged burglary of a residence in Atchison County on January 17th.

 Clem faces aggravated burglary of a dwelling, a level five felony, conspiracy to commit burglary of a dwelling, felony theft, and contributing to a child’s misconduct, level seven felonies.

 In addition, Clem was booked for additional charges alleged to occur when deputies came to his residence to serve the warrant, including felony obstruction, and felony aggravated giving a false alarm.

 Total bond on the charges was set at 40 thousand dollars.

 He was out on bond on burglary and theft charges for an incident in where 18 year old Jonathan Lewis and two juveniles allegedly broke into a residence on 10th Street in Atchison and allegedly took several electronic items.

 He also awaits sentencing on a felony criminal threat charge from January and 10 misdemeanor counts from separate incidents that occurred in 2011.
As of Friday morning, he remains in Atchison County Jail.
