A new face, in a role of leadership, will be seen this summer in the Doniphan County community of Troy.
It was last month that the Board of Education for Troy's USD 429 hired a new
high school/middle school principal.
Now that selection, Jared Wigger, a native of Western Kansas, prepares to step into the role(Play Audio :28 seconds)
Wigger brings 15-years of educational experience with him to the Doniphan County community(Play Audio :32 seconds)
Wigger, and his family-wife Kara, and daughters Halli 15, Lauren 13, and Cheyenne 12-are in the process of planning their relocation to the local area(Play Audio :14 seconds)
Wigger will officially begin his new duties as Troy High School/Middle School Principal on July 1st, replacing Don Cash, who resigned from the position.
Wigger has a strong love of athletics, having coached a variety of sports during the course of his career.
His main emphasis is football, where he was part of a State Championship, as well as being named Southwest Kansas 8-Man Coach of the Year in 2000 while at Otis-Bison High School.
