Falls City Librarian Hope Schawang presented her annual report to the City Council this week. Schawang noted the library remains one of the busiest places in town and usage compares very favorably with other communities similar in size. ( play audio :41 seconds )
Nearly 500 volunteers spent nearly 900 hours doing library projects and that does not include The Friends of the Library, Richardson County Arts and Humanities and Lydia’s Gift Shop. The Falls City Library and Arts Center has more than 4,500 patrons.

Goals for this year include upgrades in technology, new operating software and improved internship opportunities.
