Atchison Man Pleads No Contest to Felony DUI
03/26/2012

An Atchison truck driver set to go to trial tomorrow on a felony DUI charge changes his plea Monday in Atchison County Court.

Randall Gilliand pled no contest to the charge as part of a plea deal.

In exchange, traffic offenses were dismissed.

He was arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol September 27th following a single vehicle accident where he tipped a semi over into a ditch four miles east of Muscotah while driving under the influence of alcohol determined to be point one one by KBI labs.

He originally pled not guilty to the charge back in January.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 23rd.

He remains free on 10 thousand dollars bond.
