Kansas City Royals Finalize 25 Man Roster
03/30/2012

Royals finalize their  25-man roster with the final few spots in the bullpen.
Lefties Everett Teaford and Tim Collins earning the last two spots in the
bullpen for Kansas City.

The bullpen sets up for the Royals as a seven-man bullpen consisting
of Teaford, Collins, Aaron Crow, Jonathan Broxton, Greg Holland, Jose
Mijares and maybe the biggest surprise 22-year-old right hander, Kelvin
Herrera (who beat out Luis Coleman for his spot in the bullpen; Coleman
has been optioned to Triple AAA Omaha)

The moves actually leave the Royals roster at 31 players currently, but will
have five players start on season on the disabled list, those being: Closer
Joakim Soria, pitcher's Blake Wood & Felipe Paulino and catchers
Salvador Perez & Manny Pina.

Which would leave the Royals one player over the 25 roster limit, as they are expected
too place pitcher Scott O'Sullivan on the waivers after his scheduled start tonight
against the Chicago White Sox's. O'Sullivan is out of opitions thus can not be
set to the minor leagues.

Look at the starting roster for the Royals for the 2012 season:

Starting Pitchers: Bruce Chen, Luke Hochevar, Jonathan Sanchez,
Danny Duffy and Luis Mendoza

Bullpen: Tim Collins, Greg Holland, Aaron Crow, Jonathan Broxton, Everett
Teaford, Jose Mijares and Kelvin Herrera

Catchers: Bryan Pena and Humberto Quintero

Infielders: Yuniesky Betancourt, Billy Butler, Alcides Escober, Chris Getz,
Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas

Outfielders: Jason Bourgeouis, Lorezno Cain, Jeff Francoeur, Mitch Maier and
Alex Gordon
