Man Pleads Guilty to Amended Forgery Charges

 A 19 year old Platte City man has four felony forgery counts amended as part of a plea agreement.

 Jonathan Turner pled guilty to two forgery counts and a misdemeanor theft count Friday in Atchison County Court.

 He was arrested by Atchison Police March 5th for taking a checkbook belonging to his grandmother and forging her name on a check on two occasions at an Atchison retail store in early February.

 Sentencing is scheduled for May 11th.

 He could face seven to 23 months on each level eight felony forgery count.
