After a great season of action on the hardwood in the Northeast Kansas area, 31 local area athletes earned himself All-Class honors give out by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association. Seven of those players, four girl's and three boys basketball stars, were also selected to play in the annual All-Star game put on by the KBCA. The All-Star game will take place on August 2nd, at the Landon Arena in Topeka.
Those seven players that will be competing in the All-Star are, Riley Falk, Onaga, Michael Glatzcak, Centralia and Austin Eckert of ACCHS in the boys game; all three will compete on the White team. While four area girls will compete in their All-Star match: Jordan Kramer, Jefferson County North, Jayna Smith and Ryann Bowser, both of Holton, will all be on the Blue team; while Tara Ellerman of ACCHS will compete for the White team.
Along with being selected to the All-Star games, those seven players, plus 24 other local athletes gained All-Class honors in their, respective class. The Northeast Kansas area saw players earning first team, second team and honorable mention. Eight players earned first team honors, seven players were named to second team honors in the class, while the final 16 were named honorable mention All-Class.
