The Falls City High School FFA Chapter celebrated a successful year with the organization's annual banquet Sunday night at Falls City High School.
Chris Yoesel, the 2011-2012 Falls City FFA President, presided over the program in the High School Auditorium. The program included a power point presentation highlighting the chapter's activities over the last year and presentation of awards and scholarships FFA members have earned.
Advisor Brian Miller presented seven first year members with the FFA Green Hand Degree and three second year members with the Chapter Degree. Senior Chris Yoesel was presented with the State FFA Degree, and Jimmy Jared and Casey Gerdes were given the 2011 American Degrees, which Miller said is the highest degree available to FFA members.
Scholarships were presented to Chris Yoesel and Eli Kuker, and Honorary Chapter Degrees were given to Steve and Vicky Yoesel.
Following the awards presentation, the 2012-2013 officers were installed. The are: Elizabeth Eickhoff, President; Cord Huettner, Vice President; Cody Schawang, Secretary; Amie Wiltse, Treasurer; Emily Wilhide, Reporter; Derik Eickhoff, Sentinel; and Carl Arnold, Parliamentarian.
