Hiawatha Man Sentenced to Prison

33 year old Jacob Mahnke of Hiawatha was sentenced to a period of 20 – 48 months in prison Tuesday in Richardson County District Court.
Mahnke was sentenced on a felony charge of attempted theft by unlawful taking in connection with a stolen pickup in Richardson County in October of 2011.
Mahnke will be allowed credit for 128 days served in jail.  He was also assessed court costs of $153.50.
