The interior of the future location of Kex Rx in Atchison is nearing completion.

Owner Joe Koechner says they had a May 1st goal for opening but ran into delays.

Koechner still hopes to have the building ready for business at some point in May.

The building is located on the corner of 8th and Main Street in the former Westside Pizza Parlor.

Koechner says Kex is aiming to offer an independently owned pharmacy to the community, with delivery services, filling the void left by the closing of Ball Brothers last fall.
