Falls City downs Holton in Legion Baseball

 Falls City won two games over Holton in Tuesday Legion Baseball action at Dallas Jones Park.
 Falls City won the first game 2-1.  Logan Faller pitched a complete game two-hitter for the win.  Holton scored its lone run in the top of the first inning.  Falls City tied the game in the bottom of the first and scored the winning run in the 5th.  Kenny Frederick singled with two outs in the inning, advanced to second on an error, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on another wild pitch.  Andrew Rieschick was the losing pitcher despite giving up only two runs on three hits in six innings.
 The second game was also close, with Falls City prevailing 3-2.  Three Falls City pitchers combined on a no-hitter.  Lane Scheitel pitched the final two innings for the win.  Derek Bippes was the starting pitcher and went 3.1 innings.  Faller pitched 1.2 innings in relief before Scheitel pitched the final two innings.  He also scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning.  After a lead off single, he stole second, advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on an error.
   Falls City hosts Hiawatha Thursday evening.
