(KLZA)-- Pawnee County Commissioners discussed the budget for the next fiscal year with Deputy County Clerk Candi Tuxhorn when they met Tuesday. A motion was approved increasing the levy lid the additional 1-percent as allowed by state statute from 2.5% to 3.5%.
The levy for the Mutual Fire Organization was set at just over 2.1-cents.
Extension Educator Karly Black presented her quarterly update to the Board. Brittany Thomas has been hired as the new office manager. Commissioner Jan Lnag was appointed to represent the Board as the new Blue Rivers Agency County Representative.
Pawnee County Emergency Manger Clint Strayhorn was appointed contact person for a federally declared disaster. The Pawnee County Local Emergency Operations Plan was also approved.
Charles Binder also met with the Commission regarding the viaduct bridge and the possibility of an engine brake ordinance in Table Rock.
