Pocketknife Lands Local Man In Jail
08/22/2014

(KAIR)--A 54-year-old Jefferson County resident is facing legal troubles following his arrest this week during what's described as an altercation.

Sheriff Jeff Herrig says Jerry Park was taken into custody on charges including aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon, and criminal threat.

Herrig says it's alleged that Park brandished a pocket knife during an altercation with another man at a convenience store in McLouth.

Booked into jail Wednesday morning, Park was released, with no bond set, Thursday afternoon.
