(KAIR)--Atchison Police are seeking the public's help to track down the thieves responsible for stealing valuable tools from the bed of a truck owned by a local plumbing business. “We did have a vehicle belonging to Tate Plumbing that was parked in the 600 block of North 9th, in a residential area,” Police Chief Mike Wilson tells MSC News. “Sometime between 7 PM Monday evening and 7 AM on Tuesday morning tools were taken from that truck which included some saws, some drills and some 18 volt batteries.”
Wilson says the tools, inside a toolbox taken from the truck, are valued at $1,800. “Anybody that would have seen any activity on Monday night in the 600 block of North 9th obviously we're anxious to hear any of that information. Any suspicious activity during the nighttime in a neighborhood is always something that we hope people will report to us so we can check it out. We're also following some leads as to where the tools may have gone.”
Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact police at 367-4323.
