(KNZA)--A two vehicle rural Hiawatha wreck Monday afternoon leaves two injured.
Interim Brown County Undersheriff Randy Linck says it happened around 2:15 just north of Hiawatha on U.S. Highway 73 at Hatfield Road.
Linck says a car, driven northbound on the highway by 81-year-old Betty Aeschliman, of Hiawatha was being followed by another vehicle, driven by 87-year-old rural Hiawatha resident James Gall.
Aeschliman attempted to turn left onto Hatfield Road, just as Gall was attempting to pass, causing the two vehicles to collide.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were transported to the Hiawatha Community Hospital for treatment.
