(KTNC)--The City of Humboldt is looking for someone to serve on the City Council for a couple months.
Second Ward Councilman Ed DeJonge submitted his resignation during Tuesday night’s meeting. The resignation is effective immediately.
DeJonge’s term was set to expire this year, and he had not filed for reelection. Dean Bogle is the only candidate running for the seat in November’s election.
Anyone interested in filling the Ward 2 council seat until December should submit a letter of application to the Humboldt City Clerk’s office before the next council meeting on October 7.
