(KTNC)--Members of Diller-Odell’s FFA swept the competition at the Area Six Range Judging Contest, held Wednesday near Tecumseh.
One-hundred-71 students and eight adults from 11 schools participated in the contest. The competed individually and three-and-four person teams, in junior and senior divisions.
Diller-Odell took first place in both the junior and senior divisions in team and individual competitions. The Grand Champion Team, with the highest overall score, was the senior team of Cody Scheele, Ethan Rupprecht, Theresa Zarybnicky, and Katie Schultis.
Scheele received the Grand Champion Individual honors, and Dylan Wolbert of Diller-Odell won first place in the junior division.
FFA newcomer Sterling claimed third place in both the junior and senior team divisions.
Earning green ribbons in the senior division were: Michael Purcell, Isaac Buss, and Melissa Bausch of Johnson County Central; Erika Eckhardt and Thomas Tucker of Sterling; and Brooke Wehrbein of Lewiston.
Green ribbons in the junior division were awarded to: Micah Erickson, Nicole Harms, Austin Buss, Mark Stark, Mae Stark, and Jacob Schwenneker of Sterling; Marissa Borrenpohl of JCC; and Megan Wehrbein of Lewiston.
