(KNZA)--A two-vehicle wreck in the city of Atchison early Friday afternoon sent two to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 35-year-old Nortonville resident Jennifer Cotto was westbound on U.S. 59 highway in a sport utility vehicle when she failed to stop for a stop light and struck a southbound pickup truck on 14th Street driven by 74-year-old Atchison resident Gene Green in the side.
Cotto was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Green was transported to the Atchison Hospital with possible injuries.
A 14-year-old passenger in the Cotto vehicle also received possible injuries, but the Patrol report doesn’t indicate she was transported to a hospital.
The wreck was reported shortly after 12 noon.
