(KNZA)--Thanksgiving will be celebrated in the Jackson County community of Holton, where the annual community Thanksgiving dinner will held on the holiday.
Longtime organizer Freda Galer says most of the food has been donated, but volunteers, and a few other items, are still needed. “I really need [eight] cookers for my 12 turkeys.I need salads and I need desserts. Those two things are the hardest thing to get.”
The dinner will be held Thursday from 11:00 that morning until 1:00 in the afternoon.
It will be held at the Evangel United Methodist Church Family Life Center located at 227 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Holton.
Both monetary and manpower donations keep the dinner happening year after year, and those wanting to assist should contact Galer at 785-364-2507.
