Pawnee County Commissioners Prepare for 2015

(KLZA)-- The Pawnee County Commissioners approved a number of resolutions Tuesday for the 2015 calendar year.  Holidays were set, payroll periods and pay dates approved and Commissioners meetings will be held every other Tuesday, beginning January 6.

The Pawnee County Republican was selected as the official County newspaper and bank depositories and banks for investment of County funds selected. 

Pawnee County Clerk – elect Candi Tuxhorn was given approval to hire Suzanne Sommerhalder as her Deputy so she could begin work on January 5.  

Sheriff Jayme Reed presented information to the Board regarding a patrol car.  State bids range from $22,300 to $29,500.  A Chevy Impala would cost $22,300. The Board suggested the Sheriff have Deputy Rath sit in a 2015 Impala to see if it is a good fit since the style of the car has changed some. 

County Attorney Jennifer Stehlik Ladman met with Commissioners regarding the Four County Juvenile Services match of $825 for 2015, which was approved.

The bridges for the One and Six Year Road plan was discussed with Highway Superintendent Chris Rauner and Administrative Assistant Heather Duryea.  

The meeting adjourned at 10:50 a-m.
