Have you ever wanted to be a part of history? Now is your chance. The Unified Relay Across America is looking for torchbearers to carry the Flame of Hope across Kansas.

The 2015 World Games are being held in Los Angeles and the URAA is seeking people in Kansas to be involved. Three routes will start on the east cost and travel west all the way to Los Angeles to be unified in time for the games on July 10 to declare the games open.

Here is how to get involved: you must register yourself or a team of up to 15 people with a $10 fee per person. Select a time and date to participate. The Central route will pass through Kansas two separate times: arriving June 16 and leaving June 17 then arriving again June 23 and leaving June 24. The torch will pass through Holton, Topeka, Lawrence, Kansas City, Mission, Roeland Park, Wichita, Pratt and Dodge City.

Next, choose a segment: either a half-mile run/walk/jog or a 5 mile bike ride. Lastly, engage family, friends, company, co-workers, neighbors and community to raise funds and join in the spirit of the Unified Relay. A minimum fundraising donation of $1000 is required per regular segment per team and $2500 per premium segment per team. For every $1500 raised, teams will receive a commemorative torch.
