(KLZA)-- The Nemaha County, Nebraska Commissioners accepted the resignation, due to retirement of Ross Helms when they met this week.
Board members also tabled the awarding of a quote for the new HVAC System for District 1 county barn until their June 2 meeting.
An amendment to the inter-local agreement with the Nemaha Natural Resources District concerning County Road 736 in the Duck Creek Watershed project was approved.
Commissioners approved the sale of a surplus 1993 International Tandem dump truck by sealed bid to Jerald Hartman in an amount of $5,352. The Board rejected all bids for a 1992 Cornhusker Rock pup trailer. The highest bid submitted was in an amount of $1,502.
Approval was given to a request from the Auburn Leadership Group to haul sand for two new volleyball courts to be constructed by the group at the Auburn Rec Complex. The sand will be hauled from Ashland.
County Assessor Mallory Lempka was authorized to sign a contract for a subscription contract with GIS Workshop for three years at an annual cost of $2,650. A contract for Maintenance and Support Services from GIS Workshop was also approved at a cost of $6,930 per year for three years. The Exhibit A Subscription will cost $2,650 per year for three years.
