Unemployment Rates Drop in Southeast Neb

(KLZA)-- Unemployment rates improved in all extreme Southeast Nebraska counties during the month of April.

Johnson and Richardson counties had the largest dips in unemployment rates, 7-tenths for Johnson County and 5-tenths in Richardson County. 

Pawnee County had the best unemployment rate in the area at 2.2 percent, which is down 4-tenths.

Elsewhere, Richardson County unemployment rate in April was 2.6 percent;. Nemaha County 3.1 percent, Gage 3.2 percent, Otoe 2.9 percent; and Johnson, 2.6 percent. 

Nebraska has the lowest unemployment rate in the nation at 2.5 percent, while 
Nevada has the highest at 7.1 percent.
