(KAIR)--A Topeka man was arrested late Wednesday morning, accused of possessing a stolen license plate and methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Atchison County.
Sheriff Jack Laurie says a deputy spotted the alleged stolen Shawnee County tag on a vehicle driven by 51-year-old David Wieland in the 600 block of South 22nd Street. Upon further investigation, the deputy discovered what appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Wieland's possession.
Wieland was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, and driving while suspended.
