(KNZA)--The body found in Jackson County last week has been identified.
Sheriff Tim Morse says the body is that of 51-year-old Mayetta resident Roger Dale Eubanks. The cause of death remains under investigation.
An autopsy was performed in Kansas City following the discovery made on the morning of August 26th in the 16000 block of R.4 Road, northeast of Mayetta. Morse says his office was called there for a welfare check after an employer reported that an employee had not been seen for nearly two weeks.
Deputies discovered the body near a creek bed, about 100 yards from the residence at the R.4 Road location.
