(KAIR)--The Leavenworth Police Department is continuing to search for two people they say were involved in a shooting after a vehicle wreck last week.
Deputy Police Chief Dan Nicodemus says that police “do not have any information about where they are at. We have received some information that we have followed up on and continue to follow up on, but so far, we have not located them.”
Nicodemus adds that warrants have been issued for 28-year-old Holly Sayers and 29-year-old James Thompson in connection with the shooting that occurred on August 28th, leaving one man injured.
Sayers is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated endangering a child, and one count of reckless driving. Thompson is facing one count of attempted first degree murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle, and two counts of aggravated endangering a child.
The 37-year-old victim was treated for injuries at a local hospital, and released later that same day.
Nicodemus says both suspects are considered armed and dangerous, and if seen, should not be approached, and law enforcement should be contacted immediately by calling 911.
Anyone with information in the case should call the Leavenworth Police Department at 913-758-2944 or the clue hotline at 913-682-2583.
