Atchison Scout Troops To Serve Thanksgiving Dinner

 (KAIR)--For the third year in a row, Atchison Boy and Girl Scout troops will be holding a free community Thanksgiving dinner.

Scout leader Kelly Franklin, says preparations for the dinner will start as early as Wednesday evening, and will include the traditional thanksgiving foods including turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, as well as a choice of either a slice of apple pie or a slice of pumpkin pie.

Franklin says an RSVP to the event is appreciated, but not required.

The dinner will be held Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Atchison United Methodist Church, located at 501 Kansas Avenue. To RSVP or to request a carry out order, you can call 913-367-1391.
