(KLZA)-- Unemployment rates were higher in Southeast Nebraska for the month of June.
Statewide the unemployment rate remained at 3.0 percent, which is the same rate for the past 13-months.
Nemaha County, Nebraska had an unemployment rate for June of 4.7 percent, up 1.3 percent from May. That was the largest increase in the area.
Elsewhere the rate was 3.3 percent in Richardson County, 2.4 percent in Pawnee County, 3.2 percent in Johnson County, 3.4 percent in Gage County and 3.6 percent in Otoe County.
Nebraska continues to have one of the best unemployment rates in the country. Neighboring state unemployment rates in June included 4.0 percent in Iowa, 3.8 percent in Kansas and 4.5 percent in Missouri.
