(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners approved the purchase of two new pickups to be used as patrol vehicles by the Richardson County Sheriff’s Department when they met Tuesday.
The Board approved a quote from Armbruster Motor Company of Falls City for 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 4-wheel drive, crew cab pickups at a cost, of nearly $33,500 each.
Commissioners Jim Davidson and Jim Standerford voted to reject the bids received earlier for the kitchen equipment at the new Jail / Law Enforcement Center. Commissioner David Sickel was absent.
Sheriff Don Pounds informed Commissioners that the jail inmates will be moved to the new Jail / Law Enforcement Center on Thursday.
