(KNZA)--About 15-hundred Westar Energy customers in southern Brown County were affected by a power outage Wednesday morning.
Also affected were customers of Brown-Atchison Electric Cooperative and the city of Horton, which receive their power from Westar.
Westar Spokeswoman Jana Dawson says the outage was reported around 9:00 and service was restored about an hour later.
Dawson says it’s not known at this time what caused the outage. She said no equipment problems were found at their substation and they will be investigating further to determine what caused the power failure.
