(KAIR)--The discovery of a body in a popular Saint Joseph park is being handled as a homicide.
KQ2-TV reports a jogger, using the trail in Krug Park, made the discovery Sunday morning.
The body is identified as that of a white female, believed to range in age from mid-teens to early 20's.
The TV station reports that it was revealed by police during a news conference Monday that the body has been sent to Kansas City, where an autopsy will be conducted. A preliminary identification of the victim has been made, but that, and other details, are not being made public as the investigation continues.
