(KLZA)-- Nemaha County Nebraska Commissioners sold three surplus sheriff vehicles following the opening of sealed bids on Wednesday.
A pair of 2011 Dodge Chargers and a 2011 Chevy Caprice were sold to the high bidder. The Caprice was sold to Asia Motors for nearly $8,200. A Charger with just over 110,000 miles sold to Gerry Pflepsen for $5,189 and the Charger with 93,000 miles was sold to Chicago Motors for just over $5,200.
Commissioners also opened sealed bids for two projects on the One & Six Year road plan. Ace/Eaton submitted the lowest combined bid for the projects at a cost of approximately $37,300 and were awarded the bid.
Representatives of the Nebraska Association of County Officials Benefit Services met with the Board to present information on health insurance coverage, premiums and other benefits and services they can offer Nemaha County for the county employees.
