(KAIR)--A St. Joseph woman lands behind bars after allegedly using counterfeit money at an Atchison store.
“On June 23 we investigated a case that was at the Walmart Store in the 1900 block of U.S. 73, said Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson. “Not only was the counterfeit money passed, but the person involved in that purchased merchandise and then returned the merchandise for legitimate money.”
He says 30-year-old Tasha Williams was taken into custody by St. Joseph Police this week on charges of making false information, forgery and theft by deception.
Williams was booked into the Atchison County Jail.
