Governor’s Water Conference in Manhattan

The Governor’s Water Conference will address relevant and current water resource issues as well as the continued implementation of the Kansas Water Vision. Governor Sam Brownback will address the progress made on his call to action in 2013 for a 50-Year Vision for meeting Kansas water supply current and future needs as well as a challenge going forward. Lt. Governor Coyler will also be sharing comments.

The conference speakers include:

  • Jim Gulliford, EPA Region 7 Administrator

  • Michael J. Teague, Oklahoma Energy & Environment, Secretary

  • Four Panels highlighting different water topics, Water and Emergency Response; Public Water Supply and Agriculture – Solving non-point source pollution problems together; Overcoming Water Scarcity – The Israeli Approach; Sustainability Initiatives in Ag; The Farm Bill’s Role in Water and Natural Resource Management

  • Robin Jennison, Kansas Department of Wildlife Parks and Tourism, Secretary
