Sabetha FFA team members were recognized for placing first in the state in the State Ritual Career Development Event (CDE) at the opening ceremony of the 90th Kansas FFA State Convention, May 30–June 1, 2018, on the Kansas State University campus.
In the Ritual Demonstration CDE, FFA members must demonstrate outstanding delivery and presentation skills for the FFA Opening Ceremony.
The Sabetha FFA chapter was awarded first place in the Ritual Demonstration CDE. Rock Creek FFA placed second, Hugoton FFA received third and Clay Center FFA placed fourth.
Competing on the winning Ritual Demonstration CDE team were Morganne Kruse, Hunter Lowdermilk, Brandon Brownlee, Kamden Brownlee, Rebecca Craig and Cody Meyer. The advisor is Chris Bauerle.
As state winner, the Sabetha FFA chapter has the opportunity to represent Kansas in the Ritual CDE at the 2018 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
